This Privacy Policy explains what information Claiborne Productions ("we," "us," or "our") collects through ohioweddingshows.com and its subdomains, at our wedding shows and expos, and how we use and share it. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything here raises a question, our contact information is at the bottom of the page.

The short version: we collect the information you give us when you buy tickets or sign up, plus standard website analytics data. We use it to run our events, to send you email and text messages about our shows and wedding planning offers, and we share it with our event partners and exhibitors so they can reach out to you about their wedding services. You can opt out of marketing at any time.

When you buy a ticket, register for an event, enter a giveaway, or contact us, we collect information you provide, which may include:

• Your name
• Your mailing address
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your wedding date
• Your role in the wedding, such as bride, groom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride, or other guest
• Any coupon or promo code you use
• Which events you purchase tickets to
• Whether you checked in at an event using your ticket

Payment card processing is handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our systems.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you found us, and how you move through the site. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, including the analytics and advertising tools described below.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are popular and where our visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. Facebook (Meta) Pixel

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

4. Email Marketing

When you buy a ticket or join our mailing list, we add you to our email list. We send event announcements, reminders, wedding planning content, and promotional offers, including offers from our partners and exhibitors. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are off the list. You will still receive transactional emails tied to a purchase, such as your ticket confirmation.

5. Text Message (SMS) Marketing and Event Updates

If you provide your phone number, we may send you text messages, including:

• Event updates, such as parking details, show reminders, schedule changes, and check-in information
• Marketing messages about upcoming shows and offers

Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. Opting out of texts does not remove you from our email list, and vice versa, so if you want out of both, opt out of both or just contact us and we will take care of it.

We want to be upfront about this, because it is a core part of how wedding shows work.

Our partners and exhibitors

We share attendee information, which may include your name, contact information, wedding date, and your role in the wedding, with the exhibitors, sponsors, and partners connected to the events you register for or attend. This is how vendors follow up with you about their wedding services after a show. It is a big part of the value of attending. Once a partner receives your information, their use of it is governed by their own privacy practices, so you can ask them directly how they handle it.

Service providers

We share information with companies that help us operate, such as our ticketing and payment processors, email and SMS platforms, and website hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Advertising platforms

As described above, Google and Meta receive certain data through their analytics and advertising tools on our site.

Legal reasons and business changes

We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of our attendees, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

We do not sell your information to unrelated data brokers. Sharing with our event partners, as described above, is done so that they can market their wedding services to you.

7. Your Choices

• Email: Unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
• Texts: Reply STOP to any text message.
• Partner sharing: If you would rather we not share your information with event partners, contact us before the event you are attending and we will do our best to accommodate the request.
• Cookies and ads: Use your browser settings, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and your Facebook ad preferences.
• Access, correction, or deletion: You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or call us using the details below and we will respond as quickly as we can. Some information we need to keep, for example records of completed purchases.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to run our business, which generally means as long as you remain on our marketing lists plus whatever we need for accounting, legal, and record keeping purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove what we are not required to keep.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. That said, no website or database can be guaranteed 100% secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we ever experience a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Children

Our website and events are intended for adults planning weddings and their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
